The Leelanau Peninsula lies halfway between the North Pole and the Equator along the Earth's 45th Parallel. What makes Leelanau County so unique in terms of it's micro-climate is that it is surrounded by Lake Michigan, the fifth largest lake in the world. The magnificent glacier carved Leelanau peninsula is home to unmatched natural beauty with its vineyards, orchards, forests, dunes and its lakes, both big and small. Leelanau Peninsula is a well-known wine growing region already. The 45th Parallel is also home to other renowned wine producing climates such as Alsace, Bordeaux and Burgundy.

The Leelanau Peninsula has all the ingredients to grow some of the finest hops in the world.
